A traditional Dutch school building from the end of the 19th century (1895) looking like a miniature of theRijksmuseum - brick and tile walls, huge windows, high roof and an old, black iron fence around. Inside - a big modern lobby, almost oriental modern reception and an innovative mixture of the traditional elegance and modern interior design, with an omnipresent touch of luxury. College Hotel is conveniently located in an elegant, relaxed area of South Amsterdam, near to the Museumplein and not far from the RAI congress center.

College Hotel has 4 suites and 36 rooms. Its interiors are beautiful and quiet: a lot of noble fabrics – plush, satin in wonderfully matched colors with warm grey and beige dominating, many mirrors, good quality furniture, big fireplaces completed with the flat TV screens and modern design accents. Particularly the hotel bar invites guests with its atmosphere. The rooms differ a lot, and so does their price. Our choice would be one of the biggest and most luxurious, designed with a slightly oriental touch, Van Baerle Suite. It has three bedrooms with baths and nice view on the city from the dining room. Some of the rooms, as the building had been adapted from an old school, do not have real baths, but even in these small rooms well designed interior and excellent lighting will be a pleasure for your eye.

All modern facilities are here – air-conditioning (except for the lower priced, so called Superior rooms), flat screen TV’s, WiFi, direct telephone line to the city from your room. Good restaurant (Dutch kitchen with French influences) and the special rooms for the purpose of conferences, complete the picture.

College Hotel employs as most of its staff young students of the Amsterdam Hotel Management School. The idea of service by youngsters brings a lot of fresh and joyful atmosphere to your stay at the College Hotel, even though their enthusiasm might sometimes impair their professionalism. These kids still learn, but they clearly do their best.

The College Hotel is a mixture of traditional and modern, young and experienced. Its interior and its location are its main assets.
