The restaurant has two main dining areas defined as the 'upstairs' and 'downstairs'. The eatery is furnished with comfortable armchairs and white linen tables, creating a formal ambience. The interior is wooden, from the walls to the beam ceiling that contributing to its 1920's personality.
Upstairs is open on weekends or when the tables down below are full. This area provides a personal atmosphere away from the street views, and is perfect to enjoy a romantic meal.
Damsteeg offer a 3 course set menu at 38.50 euro that changes daily based on seasonal ingredients. You may equally dine a la carte, however this can prove to be more expensive. The a la carte menu changes every 3 months creating something new for their regular customers.
Their speciality are fish dishes that reign on their menu, also offering meat and vegetarian meals. Throughout your meal you are served by one of their waiters, who are helpful and have a working knowledge of the food they serve.
Though a restaurant, it is not necessary to visit Damsteeg for dinner. Open from 2pm, you may enjoy a selection of European Tapas with a drink at the bar or their terrace.

Damsteeg the owner is always present to welcome you into homely diner. On display is the cheese board and wine rack boasting 55 different wines, with their house wine at 21 euro.
Damsteeg is a grand restaurant reminiscent of a French brasserie, with a relaxed and warm ambience that invites you all.
