The four-star Dorint Hotel Amsterdam Schiphol is located on the eastern side of the airport, in the area where many airline offices and maintenance facilities can be found. The hotel profiles itself as the largest conference centre in the Amsterdam and Schiphol area and is clearly focused on receiving business guests. The Dorint Schiphol opened its doors in August 2003, and one of its features is a large garden within the building.

Room types
The Dorint Hotel Schiphol has 442 rooms, divided into 351 superior rooms, 78 executive rooms, 10 junior suites and one senator suite. There are also two special non-allergic rooms.

The spacious superior rooms have a double or twin bed, and a single bed can be added on request. The airconditioned and floor-heated rooms have satellite TV, high speed internet, an extra large minibar, ironing equipment, a bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, and a small safe to store your valuables.

The executive rooms are located on the sixth and seventh floors of the hotel. These rooms are similar to the standard rooms but include an Executive package with extra toiletries, a stereo system with CD and a coffee maker in the room. Newspapers, magazines and fresh fruit are available in the corridor.

Junior suites are more spacious rooms with a separate living area, including a second desk and television. These rooms offer more comfort and convenience for longer stays.

The senator suite is located on the top floor of the hotel and has a view of Amsterdam Airport. The suite has a bedroom with king size bed, a separate living and dining area, a bar, a second (guest) toilet and a walk-in closet. A connecting room can be used for meetings.

Bars and restaurants and other facilities
The hotel offers two restaurants and two bars. The Sports & Media Bar, opened 24 hours per day, has an informal atmosphere where important sports matches are projected onto a big screen. The Coffee & Wine Lounge is more business-oriented. The hotel’s two dining facilities are called Nadar and the Patio Restaurant, where a range of international dishes are offered.

The hotel’s facilities include the Dorint Lifestyle Club & Active Spa, an area on the second floor of the building including a gym, pool, sauna, Turkish bath, sun beds, massage parlour and acupuncture clinic. Use of some facilities is free for guests staying in the hotel, while the hotel offers packages with varying fees for use of different sections of the Club.

Being a conference hotel, the premises have 15 meeting rooms which are often used by large groups. A wireless internet connection is available throughout the hotel.

Parking and airport shuttle
The Dorint has a Park and Fly offer for guests wishing to leave their car in the hotel’s garage while on a holiday or business trip. Guests may leave their car in the garage up to a maximum of three weeks. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to the passenger terminal, operating every 30 minutes between 06.00 and 23.45. The average trip takes seven minutes.
