Named after its owners Annemieke den Uijl and Nick White, it also reflects the originality of the restaurant as a whole.
You are welcomed into their diner furnished with oak dining tables and armchairs. Each table is formally set with extraordinarily tall wine glasses, and candles that light up the room relaxing the atmosphere. Your attention is drawn from the traditional setting to a set of drapes on the main wall, softening the personality of the 1920's interior.
De Witte Uyl boasts a magnificent list of 60 different wines, 5 champagnes, as well as a selection of cognacs on display. Their menu is as unique as their name suggests. The dishes are an international fusion of ingredients, intricately created by Annemieke and their Head Chef.
It is recommended you have 2 dishes and a dessert for 36.50 Euro, as each dish cannot be defined as a starter or a main meal. The menu changes every 10 weeks, and they try to use organic vegetables and free range meat as much as possible.
Once you have ordered your meal, you are served with bread and homemade herb oil to delight your senses. Your two choices of dishes are brought to you by Annemieke at a reasonable pace, giving you time to savour the experience of the food, good wine and your company. She also pays particular attention to refilling your glass and making your stay as comfortable as possible.
During the summer you may choose to dine on the terrace, that attracts many Expats and Dutch customers. Established 8 years ago, De Witte Uyl invite you to make a night of your visit, with food of high quality and excellent service.
