Museum Square Hotel Amsterdam

- -This small three star hotel is located across the street from the new entry to the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam Philharmonics and just a step from the Museumplein -Museum square, thus the name. Just a step from the Museum Square Hotel you will have a Cornelis Schuytstraat - a nice up market quarter of town, as well as most posh street in Amsterdam – P.C.Hooftstraat and city main park - Vondelpark. Located near the busy and noisy crossing, the hotel offers very good links of communication to the Central Station and other more distant places in the city.

You enter the hotel through a nice lobby. There is a small lift to upper floors. All hotel 34 rooms are elegant and light, either with a view of the garden or the Lairessestreet. They are spacious and they have good beds, simple furniture and a small, very clean bathroom with tub or shower. They are equipped with mini-bar, cable TV, and coffee and tea machine (important if you travel with kids). Most of the rooms have air-conditioning. Non-smoking rooms are available. Ground floor room has a direct access to the garden.

Children up to the age of 12 may stay for free in the parents’ room; an extra bed is € 30,-; a baby cradle is € 10,-. The hotel has also a triple room, which may be an economical solution for a family with small children.

The hotel has a special breakfast room on the ground floor (in summer serving breakfast on the terrace) and a cozy bar. The buffet breakfast is very good. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant, its room service offers a range of tasty warm meals prepared elsewhere. There also are plenty of good opportunities to eat out in the area.

The only misunderstanding at Museum Square Hotel is its Internet connection surcharge - a WiFi Internet is € 10,- per day, which ends at 12 a.m., while checking your e-mail on the hotel’s computer in the Internet corner in the hotel’s lobby will cost you € 5,- per each 30 minutes.

Overall Museum Square Hotel offers no luxury – but its service is on very high level. The comfort and peace it delivers, confirms the hotel’s motto: …welcome home!
