Visible from the main road, De Kas is easily reached by a small trail. Past the reception is the restaurant with rows of tables with white linen and comfortable chairs. Nature is quite significant as seen through the trees planted inside to the glass walls and ceilings that offer a view to the park and nursery.
De Kas has two personalities, the first unveiled during lunch hours when the restaurant is very light and open. But when night falls at dinner, a romantic ambience is created.
The greenhouse offers one daily menu at 43.50 euro, a selection of small starters, main dish and dessert. A 2 course lunch menu is also on offer for 32 euro, but what is served depends on their harvest.
You may also enjoy a glass or bottle of wine from their extensive wine list. A waitress will serve you while you dine, and is helpful in commenting on your meal and ingredients used. All meals are prepared with freshly picked herbs and unusual flowers which are incredibly refreshing, and best enjoyed with your choice of company.
De Kas has a variety of spots for you to dine in beside the restaurant. If the weather permits you may enjoy your lunch in the garden surrounded by growing herbs. After your meal you are welcome to walk around their nursery and see what they have to offer.
Unique to say the least, De Kas also invite you to dine inside their kitchen at the Chef's table. Available to a group of 4 for 125 euro including wine, you are at the chef's mercy watching them as they prepare your meal. As it can get quite busy, it is advised to reserve your choice of table 2-3 weeks in advance.
De Kas is a spectacular place to have lunch with friends or dine with your partner. Whatever your cause, you may rest assured this eatery will delight all your senses.
